In Kharkov, on January 19–20, an open all-Ukrainian free-style wrestling tournament was held in the «Locomotiv» Palace of Sports in commemoration of Leonid Aleksandrovich Dunai, Honored Coach of the UkrSSR, and Master of Sports of the UkrSSR. The general sponsor was Pharmaceutical Company «Zdorovye».

In terms of the number of gold medals among young men, Ukraine took the lead — 5 medalists, Georgia took second place — 4 medalists, Greece ranked third — 1 medalist. Among the girls, Ukraine was also the leader.

Also there was a team tournament, the winner of which was the Ukrainian team. In the final, Ukrainian wrestlers won from the Georgian team. Third place was taken by the team of Belarus.

This year the event was held at a high level, the scale of the tournament is growing every year.
