Department of Industrial Pharmacy and Economics of the Institute of Training Specialists in Pharmacy of the National University of Pharmacy was founded according to the order of the Rector of National University of Pharmacy (No. 125K from 04.05.2004 “On the reorganization measures to improve the structure of the university”) and from 01.09.2004 it started to work.
Deputy Head of the department, Doctor of economic sciences, Associate professor, Dorovskoy A.V. Main focus of the department is organizing and conducting postgraduate training of specialists of industrial pharmaceutical enterprises, as well as the scientific and methodological cooperation with pharmaceuticals manufacturers and research institutions of the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, organization and participation in scientific seminars, conferences, symposia, scientific training of teaching staff.
Main form of work of the department is to conduct thematic cycles of improvement specialists of pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers of veterinary, immunobiological products and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Department has developed more than 10 training programs, including “Modern aspects of production, validation and quality control of drugs in pharmaceutical enterprises”, “Organization of the quality management system in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients”. “Organization of production, quality control, storage of immunobiological drugs and blood derived products in the conditions of good manufacturing practice”, “Production of medicines in conditions of good manufacturing practice”.

Department has 2 doctors and 6 candidates of sciences. 100% of the higher-education teaching personnel have a scientific degree. To conduct seminars and workshops are constantly involved
